Hi there I have just read your statement about the accounts at http://www.thanet.gov.uk/council__democracy/performance/financial_services.aspx and have a couple of questions.
1 Was that intended to be a news release?
The reason I ask this is that it was put on the internet in a way so that it wasn’t included in the council's news feeds. Several thousand people who read my local news website, myself included were told by the council that we wouldn’t be receiving press releases anymore and that we would be reliant on the council’s news feeds.
2 Will all or part of the accounts of the Council for the year ended 31 March 2011 be available online or in Ramsgate for inspection during the period from 8 July 2011 to 4 August 2011?
The reason I ask this that I work on normal weekdays and while I note that the accounts will be available for inspection in Margate between 9.00 am and 4.30 pm each weekday during that period, most people in other parts of Thanet who work normal hours wouldn’t be able view them.
