Once again after a gap of a about a year I am writing to you to try and find out what if anything is happening with the old Pleasurama site and the cliff behind it.
My questions are
1 When is the development likely to start.
2 Now The Robert Leonard Group Plc have pulled out of the project who is going to build it.
3 when will work start on the dangerous state of the cliff.
Kind regards Michael Child.
I would appreciate it if you would pass this on to all of the councillors as it affects them directly.
To all councilors
On the 6/10/06 I sent the email below to customer.services@thanet.gov.uk and have had no response or confirmation of receipt. You may remember that some time ago I had difficulties contacting councillors and members of the council by email.
It occurred to me that the best thing to do was to contact all of the councillors through the TDC website again and see if email communication to them had improved and if any of them knew what was happening about the old Pleasurama site.
Well things went badly wrong.
First I noticed that now on the council website email access even to cabinet members has been removed.

The same or worse occurs if you click on any of the cabinet members. I didn’t bother to click on all of the other councillors to see if any links to them worked.
In view of what happened last time I would ask each councillor to email me and confirm that they have received this message.
If I don’t receive a confirmation of receipt from any individual councillor I will continue trying to contact them through the TDC website until I do.

Dear Councillor
I thought you would like to know that it is no longer possible to contact you directly by email via the TDC website. When one clicks on your name as it appears as a link to information about you one moves into a realm of the surreal where one is asked for passwords or to write your website for you. Rude messages like “Access denied. You do not have permission to perform this action or access this resource” come up.
This link takes you to the information about councillor Ezekiel’s information on the TDC website and is typical of all the other councillors web presence http://councillors.thanet.gov.uk/sites/sandyezekiel/default.aspx it looks appalling and shows both you and the council in a bad light.
I am sorry if you get this more than once but I am relying on old lists of email addresses to contact you.
You may remember in October 2004 after failing to get any information by emailing the council I tried to send an email to all of the councillors in order find out the then current position with the old Pleasurama site on the seafront in Ramsgate. If you have forgotten most of the correspondence is published on the internet at this address www.thanetonline.com/Pleasurama
During this last week I have made various attempts to have my questions answered and have not even had a confirmation of receipt of my email so I am now contacting you directly. Below are my last two emails to the council from where I am sitting it looks as though an arbitrarily selected council officer decides what email you are allowed to read.
There is a rumour going around here in Ramsgate that work on the new building on the old Pleasurama site is to begin next February and I gather now there has been a press release that contracts have been signed. At a quarter of a kilometre long it is probably the largest building ever to be constructed in Thanet, so people here in Ramsgate are understandably interested in its construction it would be nice to see some information about all this on the TDC website.
Anyway below are the last to emails I sent to TDC many thanks in advance for you help and my kind regards Michael Child.
I would appreciate it if you would pass this on to all of the councillors as it affects them directly.
