Hi Michael,
I have tested the link from the TDC website to my email address and it works ok.
It appears that the contracts for the Pleasurama development have been signed and work is due to start in the ‘spring’.
The holdup appears to have been due to highway access arrangements which have now been agreed.
The only (?) outstanding detail appears to be the ‘roof covering’. The developers appear not to be too keen on sedum. I have been assured that the ‘roof’ is below the level of the cliff-top.
The cliff face repairs will be undertaken once the ‘piling’ has been completed. The first ‘bit’ to be built will be the hotel.
I guess we will have to wait and see what happens – there is still a long way to go!
Alan.

Hello Michael
Thanks for the email. In relation to your questions I can only say I wish I knew the answers!
Unfortunately, as you may now be aware, Cllrs in the Labour Group, (even Eastcliff Ward Cllrs!) were totally unaware of the announcement made via local media this week. I can only assume this way of communicating is seen as the most cost effective way of disseminating informing to us as this is frequently how I find out what is happening in Thanet/Ramsgate/my Ward. Having said that I shall, of course, do my very best to get answers to the questions you have posed and will certainly get back to you.
Regards
Liz

Michael,
I can't see what your problem is as I have just sent myself an e-mail using the TDC web page without any difficulty! Steve

If you look at the correspondence on http://www.michaelsbookshop.com/tdc/ and can tell me which of the councillors I have been able to contact then I suppose it would be a start. As there is no surname on your email I cant actually tell who you are so of course I don't know that I have contacted you. Is the picture of dolphins in the background supposed to be a clue? I suppose it's supposed to be a joke or a riddle along the lines of. Brothers and sisters have I none my father is my fathers son. I can only suppose that you know who you are as the answer is not myself, although many incorrectly think it is.

Steve as you didn’t tell me you were a councillor either it was not possible to solve the riddle. I guessed I might be you when I looked at the list of councillors I suppose it’s a novel way of protecting yourself from someone who wants to steal your identity.
I have made the following suggestion to the boss.
For security reasons elected members should always send emails concerning council business with a thanet.gov.uk email address as it is important that the public are sure that the email has really come from them. This is Mike Harrison's email address as an example cllrboggs@hotmail.com I am sure you agree that it could be anyone involved a scams address. This type of thing is so patently open to abuse and a terrible temptation to anyone wishing to make the council look foolish.
Tell me when you look at http://councillors.thanet.gov.uk/sites/stephenward/default.aspx and follow the links on it are you happy about it. I know my websites sometimes make me look a bit of a wazzer with their broken links and bad spelling but don’t you get the feeling that the TDC IT department don’t like having elected members to represent.
Kindest Regards Michael.
